Bussers

If bussers receive tips, they should receive at least $7.50 per hour. If more than 20% of their time is spent doing work for which they do not receive tips, they should receive at least $10.50 per hour (or $11.00 per hour if they work in a restaurant with 11 or more employees). If bussers receive $11.00 or less per hour, they are entitled to an additional $11.00 every time they work a shift that is ten hours or more. Bussers who work more than 40 hours per week should be paid 1.5 times their regular hourly wage for all overtime hours worked. All bussers should be provided with a notice in their primary language when they are hired that states their rates of pay and any benefits or deductions they receive. Waiters

Managers

Employees with the ability to set schedules, supervise, and hire and fire other employees may be considered managers. Managers are not able to receive tips; they can also be exempt from overtime regulations. Managers must receive a regular salary of at least $455 per week.
